  • The photo must show the facial features clearly and the position should be straight from tip of one’s chin to the crown, including both right and left sides of one’s face.
  • Photo background must be white and plain – no pattern or design.
  • The photo should only include the applicant and no one should be featured in the photo, along with the applicant.
  • The photo shouldn’t have any shadows, either.
  • A neutral expression should be maintained in the picture – with mouth closed, and there shouldn’t be frowning or laughing and teeth shouldn’t be visible.
  • Contrived expressions like squinting or raised eyebrows aren’t allowed and both eyes should be open.
  • The photographed person shouldn’t maintain an angled or tilted pose. Rather, head should remain square to the camera and eyes should be looking ahead, straight. The ears and cheeks should be visible.

The photo must be neutral in color and skin tones should appear natural. The photo should have no creases or impurities . Photograph cannot be manipulated, e.g. by removing spots or softening lines.  Photos must be in color.
  • Please take off your glasses; it will guarantee your photo passing, however if you must, please ensure there are no reflections from the lenses, and the frames do not cover your eyes
  • Generally speaking, head wear is not permitted. Exceptions are possible, especially for religious reasons, even so your full facial features must be clearly shown. No shadows should be visible on the face.
